Something’s blurring the lines

Something’s blurring the lines

Take a look at the screen images I copied and pasted in my last two blog entries (this one and that one). Now take a look a screen image from an earlier post, like this). Or even better, just take a look at the difference between an image I just copied directly from IE7 and one that I clipped using OneNote 2007 and then pasted:

Not sure what’s going on here. I thought it might be something about Vista, which I’m now using on my primary desktop PC, but I notice the same thing going on with my XP machine, too. I thought it might be something about Windows Live Writer 1.0.1, but I’m seeing the same thing on my XP machine with Live Writer 1.0, too. I don’t think the problem is with OneNote, because the screen clippings look nice and sharp when pasted into OneNote (or into Word, for that matter).

Anyway, until I get this figured out, I apologize for the fuzzy images (but not the fuzzy logic).

In IE& the ClearType feature is turned on by default. Ironically, the ClearType feature can cause fonts to look blurry.
