Next time I’m in Kansas City …

I owe John Klimcak a beer. After reading my question about the temporary mailbox, John asked the simplest question: “Have you tried recreating your [Outlook] profile?”

I hadn’t. But I did. And it worked. Thanks, John.

Now my RSS feed folder is full of duplicates again, but at least this time I have some idea about how to clean it up.

Although this whole process has been and may continue to be traumatic, I will say there has been one huge unanticipated benefit. It used to take well over a minute for Outlook 2007 to retrieve my new mail from the server each time I started it up. At the moment, Outlook is loading them within a second or two. I’m hoping this is not something that wears off over time.

This helped so much. I too owe the guy in Kansas a beer, luckily for him I already live in Kansas.

This helped me too. Unfortunately I live in NZ so it may be some time before Klimcak gets his beer from me. Hopefully I’ll visit Kansas some day..

Doing this for a user. Recreated the profile, but that didn’t work. Any other solutions?

    Lost in Portsmouth.
