Still frustrated by Outlook 2007?
Me too. Here’s an article from MCP Magazine with some suggestions for improving performance and troubleshooting Outlook’s inability to close properly.

I have been running Outlook 2007 beta and RTM for some time now without issues? What problems have you come across?
See http://davidschrag.com/schlog/71/thinking-about-outlook-2007-slow-down for starters. It’s slow, it crashes, it refuses to shut down properly, sometimes the searching function just stops working, the RSS feed feature is a joke … other than that, it works great.
Odd. As I stated everything has worked as prescribed (including RSS). I also utilize NewsHound that integrates directly into the Outlook 2007 interface for my newsgroups. The ONLY issue I have ever experienced has been with this program. However, this was fixed shortly thereafter. I spend roughly 80% of my time in Outlook. If I experienced the same issues you have, I would have ditched it too.
Thanks David for the information. I have been using Outlook 2007 for months now and it’s been behaving fairly well. It can be a little slow at times but all in all i’m happy with it. I really like having the RSS feeds function, it’s nice having it all in one place.
