Just installed Win7 on my TC4200 after putting an MX-Xtreme Nano 128 GB to replace the HDD.

Worked perfectly, and after tracking down drivers (thanks to some help, above) it works great. Apps pup up seemingly instantly, and Win7 was a simple, trouble-free install on the SSD.

Made what was a frustratingly slow tablet under XP into what feels like a very modern tablet. Opens instantly from sleep, and everything works.

Well worth it.

David, I do caricatures so the Tablet is essential. But the stylus is working perfect! I just was curious as to how to fix this "Q" menu direct from the bezel... the "Q" menu is working but I have to pull it up from the bar at the bottom. But the bezel buttons are non-working. Any ideas?

I do have problems with the screen direction, and sometimes the stylus simply stops working until I reboot. But I've decided it's finally time for me to move on. I'm replacing my tc4200 with a new Latitude E6410. I used the tablet features so rarely that I decided I didn't need them at all in a new machine.

Hi there!

I just installed Win7 on my tc4200 and I'm very impressed with the results!

Nevertheless nothing is perfect right? Well, I can't access the "Q" Menu from the bezel nor change the direction of the screen do you have this problem?

I can write with the stylus no problem and have the Q Menu but I have to do it with the mouse instead of the stylus.

Do you have this problem? How can I solve it?

I just upgraded my HP TC4200 with 2GB of ram to Win 7 Pro. It went so well, I was amazed. The worst part was the video driver; I had to make two attempts at getting the Win XP Intel 915GM video driver (at the Intel support site) to be accepted by the new OS. I had looked all over the net but could not find a better one. All considered, I say go for it. Just make sure you have a direct connection to your broadband connection as it did not recognize the wireless till I did the updates. I had attempted to install the Win XP Media Center first, big mistake, don’t recommend it.

What's wrong? Is it not recognizing the WLAN adapter at all? Did you load drivers for it?
