Persona non Yahoo

As an independent consultant, I rely on Yahoo! groups to converse with peers all over the globe. It’s a great technology, except when it doesn’t work as expected. For the last 24 hours or so, almost nothing I’ve e-mailed to my groups or posted directly to the groups via the web interface has shown up on the other end. I’m receiving a few posts here and there, so I know the system is basically working. It’s just not working well. Perhaps the Yahoo servers have been overwhelmed by an influx of spam, possibly related to the Storm worm.

Anyway, it’s no fun shouting into the wind, and since there’s no one down the hall from me to gripe about this with, I choose to share my frustration with you, my faithful Schloggers. Thanks for indulging me.
