Excel as calendar?
Vlad Mazek is surprised that Steve Ballmer has a boring office chair. But what really intrigues me about this picture of Ballmer in the New York Times web edition is the caption: “Mr. Ballmer may have a decidedly low-key office, but he uses an Excel spreadsheet to track his calendar.” Now I know there are calendar templates for Excel by Microsoft and other software publishers, but I’ve never heard of a Microsoftphile who uses Excel as a personal calendar. That’s what Outlook is for. Am I missing something, or is the Times reporter just confused?
