Schrag genes on TV

My cousin Ariel Schrag is on the road to Hollywood stardom, albeit behind the camera. She wrote the script for this Sunday’s “The L Word” on Showtime. From the preview, it looks like this episode will involve the ladies’ reactions to Jenny’s slightly fictionalized portrayal of them in a series of stories in The New Yorker. Very interesting, because a lot of Ariel’s writing is about her own experiences in high school, and she had to deal with reactions from her own friends (and enemies) as her books were coming out (as was Ariel). So … are the characters in the fictional edition of the New Yorker really fictional, or are they really Jenny’s friends? Or are they really Ariel’s friends, and is Jenny really Ariel? You can see Ariel in person at the New York Comic Con on February 24, and maybe you can ask her yourself.
